Silent Hill was established in the 1800's in the Northern part of Maine, built on the blood of Native Americans it was stolen from but no one likes to talk about that. It's history runs pretty deep, but it takes a certain historical nerd to want to learn all of it. For example there used to be a party boat of sorts that traveled Toluca Lake until a horrible incident occurred. And then there's when executions took place and men wore heads shaped like Pyramids. Eitherway, these days Silent Hill is a picturesque town that does no wrong and anyone is free to visit the resort it has become.

THE HOSPITALS

Achemilla General - This is the general hospital in Silent Hill, it's taken care of many people over the years and because it's the oldest hospital in town, they tend to pay their nurses higher than other hospitals in the area, even Brookhaven. It's a smaller hospital however, and Brookhaven is much bigger and newer. Achemilla has been called immaculate and clean, but tends to be run by the Cult. If you're going here, document everything or you may end up losing your life. That's if the police will listen anyway.



Brookhaven Hospital - Is ran by The Church of Purer Light. They pay both their doctors and nurses good salaries, and their patients are often well taken care of. They keep the place clean, the food is so good that people visit the open hours cafeteria even when they're not sick. It's been considered the best place for mental health respite in Toluca County, and typically recovery is quicker than Achemilla and other places. Always request to the paramedics that you go to Brookhaven unless you get an asshole who would rather you end up in Achemilla for shits and giggles.



EMERGENCY SERVICES
The Police Department - While they do do their jobs or else the state government would be on their asses, they tend to be corrupt and have ties with The Cult. While some officers also have ties with The Church Of Purer Light. Not all officers are affiliated with these groups however.


THE FIRE DEPARTMENT - The fire department has some ties to the Cult, in the past some members who have had their houses set ablaze from Purer Light have had failed response times in having their properties stop burning down. Of course, once Purer Light got the state on their case, this stopped happening, at least for now.



SHOPS

MY DREAM BOOK - This book store has everything you can imagine, from no name authors to the best sellers. They have a section for dollar while also selling books as they should be sold. Hardcovers are easier to come by here as they buy misprinted copies so the locals can have them at a decent price.



MELLOW GATES GUNSHOP - The gunshop does some shady deal as it has ties to the Cult, almost anyone can get a gun from here given you have the right amount of money.



GREEN LION ANTIQUES - This antique shop is wonderful, they refurbish old furniture and make it like new, while also offering newer furniture that's been specially crafted to look like antique furniture. EIther way, both can be expensive but if you're willing to pay...



ON THE 8's CONVENIENCE STORE - It's a simple convenience store and there's a few around town. It has everything you need but it's no grocery store, that's for sure.



KING'S GROCERY - This is pretty much the local Walmart, as they have everything you could need, even a small department store section with electronics, blankets and necessities in case of a storm or black out. A deli, and a small eat in restaurant too. Local kids come here to hang out, as do young adults when they get bored. They usually have all the things you want in stock as well.



SHELL GAS STATION - This is a simple gas station that has junk food and necessities to buy but mostly they're doing quick tune ups and selling gas.



TEXXON GAS STATION - This gas station actually does auto repair things, but only the quickest of jobs. They don't handle heavy jobs.



SHEPHERD'S AUTO PARTS AND SHOP - This is the auto shop that handles all the tough jobs, they have up to eight slots available for repairing cars and other such vehicles.



RESTAURANTS

CAFE 2 to 5 - This little café offers the best cookies, coffee, tea and free wifi. It's often quiet so you'll find local college students using it for studying.



BURGER QUEEN - It's a knock off of Burger King but a lot of people claim it's better than McDonald's and Burger King Combined.



HAPPY BURGER - They can't go a day without hearing the words 'Strawberry Jacuzzi' even though they've never actually said they were based on Good Burger. Someone let the secret out.



CRUMB CAKE BAKERY - This bakery is the largest in town with a dining area, inside and outside, they also serve food besides pastries, cookies and cakes, but mostly people come there for the decorative and tasty foods.



The Ice Cream House - They're compared to Dairy Queen, they have twisty soft serve cones, and even a chicken and fry combo basket but their restaurant colors are purple, white and gold.



GOOD PANDA - A Chinese/Japanese fusion restaurant that the town lives by. Silent Hill didn't have any Asian food restaurants until 2015. They have everything you could possibly ask for, even Sushi.



HOTELS & MOTELS



Lakeview Hotel - Lakeview Hotel is considered one of the most beautiful in the area, with gorgeous rooms, a eat in restaurant, a small theater for local plays, a piano and lounge that offers nightly entertainment and a garden and playground for the kids.



JACKS INN - Is an old school motel that uses the everything is the ground floor method and the whole inn circles around. There's about thirty rooms in total, and they're comfortable, cheap to stay and can even rent by the week.




CLUBS & BARS

Neely's Bar - This dive is a great place for food, atmosphere and drinks. It's adults only but mostly you'll find people come here to relax and enjoy themselves. There is the occasional fight but they always break it up before it gets out of hand.



Heaven's Night - This is stripland, beautiful women come here to take it off and get paid handsomely for their troubles. Despite what you saw in Silent Hill 2, it's actually much bigger, and there's at least fifteen different dancers that they hire.




ENTERTAINMENT

PETE'S BOWL-O-RAMA - It's a bowling alley that is more than family and young people friendly. Everyone comes here at least a few nights out of the month to kick back and throw a few bowling balls.



Lakeside Amusement Park - This amusement park may be a bit on the small side but it packs a powerful punch in fun, games, rides, food and entertainment. It's been around since the 80's ever expanding and growing as time goes on. There's at least eight roller coasters now and a few other rides as well.



Silent Hill Movie Theater - This is a popular local entertainment, they try and always have the newest movies on hand but sometimes they don't get them right away. The seating is comfortable and wide, the arms go up, the popcorn is to die for and they even do deep fried candy bars and hostess cakes.



Skateland Roller Rink - You can bring your roller blades to this indoor skate park that plays the newest pop and rock hits and even sometimes rap and rnb. You can also have your child's birthday parties thrown here as well. They serve pizza, hotdogs, cheeseburgers and fries.



Public Library - The library is huge and downtown. There's a fifty cent a day late fee charge for unreturned books but that's nothing in comparison to the selection they have when it comes to books. There's even a second floor in the library in order to house all their books.




SCHOOLS

Silent Hill Community College - The community college is a popular option for students who don't want to give up a further education, who can't afford to be far from home. It doesn't have dorms on campus but it's big enough that it could accommodate at least 800 students.



Midwich Highschool - The highschool is heavily dealing with drugs and everything else. Their students seem to be easily influenced and aren't doing too well in school. It's something to do with that cult, of course.




MISCELLANIOUS

Toluca Graveyard - The graveyard is evergrowing with a body count but it's beautiful with walking trails, water fountains and places to park.



Rosewater Park - It's a small park that's slightly a maze. It's easy to navigate though and has a small area over looking Toluca Lake's waters



Toluca Prison - The prison is small but houses all those who have done wrong in the Toluca County Area.



Silent Hill Historical Society - It's packed with the town's history, which can be gruesome, strange, beautiful and enlightening at times. History nerds are welcome to visit and pick the brains of the people there, or read through old history books concerning the town's upbringing.



Toluca Lake - It's a vast and beautiful lake connected to the forest and town itself. Sparkling waters, even a small island out in the middle.



The Forest - The forest is often foggy in the late night mornings and at least until ten in the morning. It has many types of trees but it's most prominent are pine trees. There's walking trails, cabins in the lake area, designated camping grounds and even a few ranger towers because of local wildlife and preserving their natural habitate.



LIVING ARRANGEMENTS

Blue Creek Apartments - They come in 1-2 bedrooms, perfect for the bachelor or bacherloette. They're decently priced with good amentities and on site maintenance around the clock.



Woodside Apartments - They come in 2-3 bedrooms, the top floor having exactly four bedrooms but on the smaller side of things like the living room or kitchen for example. It still comes with washer and dryer, central air and is more top notch than Blue Creek.



Suburbs and Other such Neighbrhoods - There's plenty of suburbs and neighborhoods to choose from that have actual houses. All ranging in different price ranges.
